If you want to hide your subwoofer(s) inside the wall(s) along with the rest of
your in-wall/in-ceiling surround sound speaker system, you should consider the passive enclosed in-wall subwoofer/sub amplifier systems from Definitive Technology, Polk Audio, and SpeakerCraft on this page.
Each of these in-wall sub/separate component amplifier combinations have been engineered and paired together to add the Low
Frequency Effects channel(s) to any
home theater receiver with a sub output. The power amp should be connected with a subwoofer cable to the LFE/sub pre-out on
the back of the A/V receiver, and the subwoofer speaker/enclosure should be connected to the sub amplifier with
in-wall speaker wire.
The SpeakerCraft Cinema Sub 12 System pictured to the right includes SpeakerCraft's Cinema Sub 12 subwoofer driver, the AccuTuneBox 12 sub enclosure, and the Bass Power 250 subwoofer power amplifier.
